A lot of people wonder what is up with me and the name Mystique? Mystique has always been a character close to my heart for multiple reasons. For starters, Mystique is actually my middle name. My dad has always really liked the X-men and thought it would be cool to include something related to that in my name.

As I grew up I always had a close connection with the X-men. I really loved a lot of the characters, especially the female characters. I always had a soft spot for Mystique. She felt like something truly related to me, like she was meant to be connected to me as my soul character or something. I feel like I have some relation to her as well. Her attitude in general and view on how people perceive those that are different hits home for me.

Overall I truly just like her story and design as well. I love the blue body with the red hair. The skull on her forehead I always have loved and will always include in her character design (some people leave it out). I think her contesting two popular outfits of this fight style white dress vs black tactical gear has always been interesting. Again, her story of feeling like she had to hide her true self and conceal into something normal was something I related to a lot of my younger life.
